Flower & Decorations
Laurel Memorial Park recognizes that decorating the graves of loved ones is a very important part of the grieving process for many families. However, we have a rather strict set of rules regarding decorations in order to keep the cemetery looking clean and uniform year round. Please check our rules and regulations prior to placing decorations on gravesites. The cemetery is not responsible for saving and returning non-permitted decorations removed from gravesites.
- Floral arrangements will be removed one week following a funeral service.
- Fresh flowers are permitted at all times but will be removed once they wilt and die.
- Artificial flowers are allowed from Labor Day until May first at which time the cemetery staff does a clean sweep of the cemetery in preparation for the mowing season.
- All holiday decorations will be removed one week after the holiday.
- Christmas blankets are removed on or after February first (weather permitting).
- NOTHING ELSE IS PERMITTED and will be removed [i.e. glass/plastic ornaments, statuary, votive lights, urns, flower boxes, wooden/metal crosses, candles, wreaths, trees, shrubs, hedges, fences, mulch, chairs, benches, settees, etc.]
